信息技术与管理学院成立于2001年1月，其前身可追溯到1994年开办的电算会计专科专业。目前开设计算机科学与技术（国家一流专业建设点）、电子信息工程（省一流专业建设点）、数据科学与大数据技术、人工智能、信息管理与信息系统(省级特色资助专业)和电子商务等6个本科专业。计算机科学与技术是湖南省“十二五”重点建设学科、湖南省“十三五”和“十四五”应用特色学科。
学院现有教职员工150人，其中入选省部级人才工程6人次，博士（含在读博士）39人，硕士以上学位的教师占比100%；硕士生导师4人，博士生导师4人。拥有“财经大数据智能化研究”湖南省教育厅科技创新团队。学院拥有“财经大数据资产开发与利用”湖南省高等学校2011协同创新中心、“财经大数据科学与技术”湖南省重点实验室、“信息技术与信息安全”湖南省普通高等学校重点实验室等科研平台。拥有“信息技术与信息管理”湖南省实践教学示范中心，拥有“计算机类专业”、“电子工程类专业”、“智能化信息管理”等5个湖南省大学生创新创业教育中心，入选“中国（长沙）跨境电子商务综合试验区人才孵化基地试点单位”。
近 5 年来，学院教师主持国家自然科学基金项目5项、国家社会科学基金项目2项、省部级项目20余项，发表学术论文200余篇，获国家专利 34 项，获得省部级以上科技奖励 5 项。大学生研究性学习和创新性实验项目立项50余项，其中国家级12项。在互联网+、ACM程序设计竞赛、电子设计大赛、物联网应用设计、电子商务大赛等学科竞赛中荣获奖励 300 余项，其中国家二等奖及以上 10余项，省级一等奖10余项。
The School of Information Technology and Adimistration was established in January 2001, and its predecessor can be traced back to the specialized program of Computer Accounting established in 1994. At present, six undergraduate majors are offered, including Computer Science and Technology (a national first-class professional construction site), Electronic Information Engineering (a provincial first-class professional construction site), Data Science and Big Data Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Information Management and Information Systems (a provincial-level characteristic funded major), and E-commerce. Computer science and technology is a key construction discipline of Hunan Province during the 12th Five Year Plan period, as well as an applied characteristic discipline of Hunan Province during the 13th and 14th Five Year Plans.
The school currently has 129 faculty and staff members, including 6 selected for provincial and ministerial level talent projects, 39 with doctoral degrees candidates, and 100% of teachers with master's degrees or above; There are 4 master's supervisors and 4 doctoral supervisors. We have a technology innovation team from the Education Department of Hunan Province, specializing in the research of financial big data intelligence. The school has research platforms such as the 2011 Collaborative Innovation Center for Higher Education Institutions in Hunan Province, the Key Laboratory of Financial Big Data Science and Technology in Hunan Province, and the Key Laboratory of Information Technology and Information Security in Hunan Province. We have the Hunan Provincial Practice Teaching Demonstration Center for Information Technology and Information Management, as well as five Hunan Provincial Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Centers for College Students, including Computer Majors, Electronic Engineering Majors, and Intelligent Information Management. We have been selected as a pilot unit for the China (Changsha) Cross border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone Talent Incubation Base.
In the past five years, college teachers have led 5 National Natural Science Foundation projects, 2 National Social Science Foundation projects, and more than 20 provincial and ministerial level projects, published more than 200 academic papers, obtained 34 national patents, and received 5 provincial and ministerial level or above scientific and technological awards. More than 50 research based learning and innovative experimental projects have been approved for college students, including 12 national level projects. In Internet plus, ACM program design competition, electronic design competition, Internet of Things application design, e-commerce competition and other discipline competitions, he has won more than 300 awards, including more than 10 national second prizes and above, and more than 10 provincial first prizes.
