Hunan University of Finance and Economics（HUFE），whose predecessor was Houshen Accounting School founded in 1933, has gone through a process of merging , adjusting and re-naming. With the approval of the Ministry of Education of China, this school was officially upgraded into an academy named Hunan College of Finance and Economics in May 1985, Hunan Higher College of Finance and Economics for a name change in 1993 and a university with Hunan University of Finance and Economics as its current name in March 2010.
