With a constantattempt to enhance the education and teaching quality, establish academicladder and boost the school development, HUFE emphasizes the classroom teachingand scientific research and sets up the guideline in management, that is, scientificresearches serving the teaching, discipline construction, and the developmentof local economy and society. It has set up its Science and Technology Associationand Social Science Association. Now HUFE has onekey provincial laboratories (Business Finance Information and Capital Market EffectLaboratory), two key provincial research bases (Hunan Finance and AccountingResearch Base and Hunan Non-tax Revenue Research Base) and 17 university-levelresearch institutes.
During the period of “ the 11th Five-YearPlan”, teachers in HUFE earned 18 province-level awards in teaching andscientific research, took charge of more than 500 scientific research items,published almost 4700 articles in the state-level or province-level magazines and35 academic books, edited chiefly or partly 114 books of teaching materials.
