In recent years, featuring the disciplinesof Management and Economics, HUFE has its own way in the discipline construction—“focusing on strengths, highlighting key points, improving the ability inrunning a school with characteristics”. Now there are 14 four-year-college specialties such as Public Finance, Accounting,and Finance, and 32 three-year-college specialties such as SecuritiesInvestment and Management, Project Cost, Physical Distribution Management,Tourism Management, Computerized Accounting, etc. Two specialties (Accountingand Financial Management) are listed as the key ones in Hunan regular institutions of highereducation during the “11th Five-Year Plan” period, andthe other four specialties (Accounting, Marketing, Financial Management& Practices) are provincial special majors. Accounting, Public Finance and ComputerApplication Technology are listed as the key provincial disciplines.
