Business Management Department is one of the earliest established department in the university, offering a variety of programs with a considerably large body of students.
The Department includes three teaching and research sections: Marketing, Management and International Trade. We offer four programs: Marketing and International Trade for students of bachelor level, Logistics Management and International Business of junior college level.
We currently have 48 teaching staff, among which 7 are professors, 13 associate professors, 16 lecturers, and one teaching assistant. Also, 5 of them are Ph.Ds, 4 Ph.D candidates, 33 Masters, and 6 tutors. The faculty has rich teaching experience and excellent researching abilities. It has collectively published 335 papers, 5 books and textbooks, and undertaken 34 researching projects in recent five years.
Students in our department canparticipate in a variety of internships. The Department runs a supermarketexclusively managed by students of Marketing. They make their own management decisions and take full responsibility for profits and losses of the supermarket. We also co-operate with several companies such as Chang Sha TongCheng Company Limited and Haili Group, offering students opportunities of off-campus internships. Students can also gain hands-on experience in ourwell-equipped labs for Marketing, International Trade, International Businessand Logistics.
Currently, the Department has 1,200students enjoying a good study environment and a grand career vision. The newly graduates has a high employment rate of 80%; particularly students of Marketing has an employment rate of over 90%, which is one of the highest among allmajors in the university.
