On November 7, led by Vice Preside1nt, Professor Fan Xiaoping, the delegation of our school visited Ajou University(AU) in South Korea and took part in its International Day celebration.

November 7 is the annual International Day for the thousands of overseas students from more than 60 countries studying in Ajou University. Our Vice President, Fan Xiaoping was invited to cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony. The president of Ajou University and other leaders delivered speeches for this special day. Some countries’ ambassadors in South Korea and the leaders of other sister universities also attended the ceremony. After the opening ceremony, students from more than 60 countries displayed their local arts, culture and cuisine on the playground.

During the visit, the Vice President, Professor Fan Xiaoping met successively with Doctor Byoung-Kuuan Kim, the Vice President of AU, and Doctor Han Fengxi, the Dean of the Business School, exchanging ideas on further cooperation of the two universities. They mainly discussed the exchange programs of teachers and students, as well as bilateral cooperation in teaching and academic research. Jin suggested that both universities should make the best use of each other’s advantages in order to cultivate management talents with comprehensive ability. President Fan said he was deeply impressed by the good academic atmosphere, colorful campus activities and mature international management model in Ajou University. As to the faculty exchange program proposed by Jin Bingkuan, Fan noted that would be a good opportunity for the teachers and management staff of HUFE to learn from Ajou University.

The delegation members met later with the four exchange students from our university, asking about their life and study in Ajou University. The students were exited to show the delegation members various documents about their study such as the the teaching plan, PPT from teacher. They also elaborated the course selection, attendance checking and assessment model in Ajou University. For each course, at the first period of each semester, teachers would hand out the teaching plan and corresponding reading list to the students. The students could download the detailed teaching plan for each period from the online learning system for their preview and overview according to the flow of the course. They said that their campus life was very colorful due to the various activities hold by the exchange students from around the world. But no matter how busy they were in campus life, the students would put their study at the first place. The seats in the 24-hour study room in the library were usually fully occupied, and many students studied like crazy only sleeping three or four hours each day. Each member of the delegation was deeply impressed by the devoted teachers, the mature teaching management model and the high level of internationalization there.
The visit to Ajou University was short but worthwhile. The beautiful campus, strong learning atmosphere, mature management model and rich international cooperation and communication left a deep impression on the delegation.
