The Housheng School of International Education (HSIE) works in tandem with International Affairs Office and the Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs Office. HSIE holds primary responsibility for the operation and management of the university's Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, international student programs, and other international education initiatives.

HSIE administers a Ministry of Education-approved "3+1" Sino-foreign cooperative undergraduate program in Accounting with the University of Roehampton (UK), initially approved in 2015 and reviewed in 2020. Designed to cultivate students' adaptability to economic globalization, this program employs a dual-campus model. Students complete their first three years at Hunan University of Finance and Economics (HUFE), where over one-third of the curriculum is delivered by faculty dispatched from the University of Roehampton. Students may then opt to complete their final year at Roehampton. Since its inception in 2016, the program has enrolled 1,051 students across nine cohorts. To date, more than 30 graduates have earned dual degrees, and 144 have progressed to pursue master's degrees at institutions both within China and abroad.

Furthermore, HSIE offers year-round Chinese language training programs and degree programs for international students, significantly enhancing the university's international ambience.
